Road closure and works by EDF

Reported anonymously at 17:17, Mon 12 April 2021

Seymour Place has been closed for some weeks now between the junction of Bryanston Place and Crawford Street. No one has been on site for over a week. On line national works registry states the works should have been completed on 11 April. The road remains closed north bound and although south bound may be open it is unclear to traffic because of lack of signage, bollards remaining in place and no traffic lights. The traffic is being diverted up and down Shouldham Street where I live. Shouldham Street has become a rat run with constant traffic throughout the day and evening. Many cars are not observing the speed limit and there are often tailbacks and horn noise due to the drivers blocking each others routes up and down. Shouldham Street is a short residential road and we had had to limit the use of the rooms at the front of our home because of the discuption. Our home is on the junction of Bryanston Place and Shouldham Stree. When are these works to be re-started and when are they to be completed?
