There is a large plane tree between 6 Jerome Crescent and 25 Jerome Crescent. Its branches have grown to vastly overhang onto the roof of Number 6 . This causes its leaves and fruits to fall onto the roof and slide into the gutters which in turn become obstructed. Especially during heavy downpours water overspill from the gutters soaking the walls and the windows. Today a window was left open and a moderate flood occurred in which electric and electronic equipment were showered by rainwater. Luckily I was home and I could quickly mop up the water and dry everything out. Every 10 days or so I keep having to risk my life (as I did today) to stand on the top window cill, lean out and whilst hanging onto the window frame with one hand, reach upwards inside the gutter with my other hand to clear the frequent blockages in order to avoid the consequences. About one year ago I had a chat with a tree surgeon working for WCC who was walking around the Estate consulting a map which the trees to be pruned were marked and listed. I was told that this particular tree had been marked the previous year as pruned, although the job had, very clearly, not been carried out. Can this tree please be pruned as soon as reasonably possible to avoid repeated risks to my life and to avoid any further damage? Kind Regards.
