Pigeons feeding from balcony

Reported via desktop in the Animal Nuisance category anonymously at 14:11, Mon 28 October 2024

Sent to Westminster City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6667791.

I am writing to raise a complaint regarding an ongoing issue with pigeons around our building, which is impacting our living environment and causing potential health risks. one of the residents is regularly feeding pigeons from their balcony The constant feeding is attracting a large number of pigeons, to all building around and to the Pimlico library /School leading to unsanitary conditions, including droppings and feathers accumulating around both buildings. As you may know, pigeons can carry diseases that pose health risks, particularly for young children who often play in nearby outdoor areas. Additionally, these conditions increase the risk of pests and create an unpleasant environment for all residents.

We kindly request that Westminster City Council investigate this matter and take appropriate action to discourage or prevent this individual from feeding pigeons from his terrace. We believe that an intervention is necessary to help restore a healthy and clean environment for our community, especially for the children who reside /study here.

Thank you for your attention to this issue. We would appreciate any guidance or updates on actions the council might take to address this matter as soon as possible.

Yours faithfully,
